Taipei101

The People's Tower. Its design is clearly yoinked from the Taipei 101 in Taiwan.

The People's Tower, previously The Pieboy Tower, is a massive building, standing at 1,720.6ft. The Pieboy Tower was previously located in Vancouver, Canada, secretly constructed in 2010 on the orders of Premier Rurik Stelarikov, once known as Pieboy. It became the centre of Soviet operations in North America until it was destroyed in 2016, following a dispute between the USA and the newly formed Russian Federated States over territorial concerns.

The tower was reconstructed in Moscow, Russia after the rise of the Soviet Union in January 2020. It is effectively the centre of government for the Soviet Union - though the Kremlin still contains many facilities to perform the same things, now a backup in case of attack.

History

The tower held a massive Russian military presence throughout its existence, which initially caused concern for the people of Canada. Heavily armed guards patrolled each floor, and it was an open secret that the tower had a small nuclear launch facility. This fear dissolved into comfort and safety after the War in the Republic of My however, as Soviet relations eased with others around the world.

During the War in the Rofl Island Chain, it became the centre of Soviet operations following the revelation that a third of the USSR government was in league with the Soviet Lulz Brigade. Tragically, this caused the Soviet leadership to be out of the country when Operation Electromagnetic Doom took place - Rurik could only prevent the missile launching from the tower from reaching Ireland, while the rest launched from Russia itself and caused great devastation across Eurasia.

Operation Downfall occurred shortly after. All inhabitants of the tower were rushed towards the protective basement, as the information came in from intercepted American communications on the Rofl Island Chain - only minutes before the operation occurred. Of the 3,000 people present in the tower that day, only 483 escaped with their lives - the rest were either outside the bunker when the Cleanser hit, or were still on their way down.

After the Great Final War, the tower continued operations as usual - even as the United States annexed Canada following a political dispute. This lasted until August 2016. As the USSR fell away, it was taken over by the Russian Federated States. The Americans took this moment to annex the building and its autonomous zone. Russian forces at the tower refused to surrender, and the people of Vancouver began to revolt. This did not last however. President Thunderbirds101 moved his starship, The Imperialist, into attack position and promptly vapourised the entire city, the tower included.

Facilities and Floors of the tower

There are many facilities in the massive tower, often related to Soviet bureaucracy and military.

Floor -2 - A nuclear bunker that acts as a command centre. Whenever there is an imminent nuclear threat and Ruik is in the tower, he and his right hand men will board the emergency elevator and head down to the nuclear bunker. The bunker is huge, at least two miles in length and width, with enough food and water for five years. There is also multiple staircases that lead down towards the bunker, to allow a greater chance of survival. The bunker is closed to the public outside of emergencies.

Floor -1 - A simple storage facility.

Ground Floor - Lobby and Cafeteria. A public access area that houses several places to acquire food and drink, as well as facilities such as toilets.

Floor 1 - The Grand Chamber of the Council of Soviets. Representatives from each of the SSR's that make up the Soviet Union gather here when necessary to pass laws, address legislation, and request assistance for their areas during times of trouble. The area is open to the public outside of operation. During meetings, only the media and government officials are allowed to enter - though the media is always live and uncensored, as to promote freedom, equality and transparency.

Floors 2 through 6 - The Russian History Museum, dedicated to the long history of Russia, from Earth 1 all the way to the modern day. All floors beyond Floor 6 are off-limits to the public

Floors 7 through 24 - Low-level Bureaucratic Sector. These floors are typically related to local governance in the region and city of Moscow, rather than any national-level governance.

Floor 25 - 31 - Foreign Embassy Offices. The foreign dignitaries of nations big and small are spread among these six floors, with their representatives granted everything they need to conduct diplomatic operations.

Floors 32 - 40 - Conference Rooms. Typically utilised by foreign diplomats, these rooms find plenty of use among other, less sensitive topics and issues that persist in every day Russian affairs.

Floors 41 - 50 - Mid-Level Bureaucratic Centre. This area typically deals with issues related to the Soviet Union at large, issues too large for any of the more local governments to handle, or that involve multiple regions in the Union itself. Representatives from each of the Republics can be found milling around these floors.

Floor 51 - 60 - Workers Union Floors. Dedicated to the ever-present need of the people's representation in the Soviet Union, these floors house the leaders of Workers Unions, handing out their demands and meeting with higher level officials to get their desires met.

Floors 61 - 65 - Media Floors. Where news outlets can give out their view on events in the Soviet Union and around the world. With Freedom of Press almost guaranteed, only the most extremist journalism is kept from these places.

Floors 66 - 68 - Military Personnel Residence & Armory. With the People's Tower being of incredible governmental importance, it isn't surprising the military forces are present and guarding the more sensitive floors. These floors, and the ones above it, are off limits to personnel without clearance granted by Rurik himself.

Floor 69 - Tower Services. An area that primarily houses the central HVAC system, as well as several other quality-of-life creations that keep the tower liveable and pleasant to be in.

Floors 70 - 79 - Top-Level Government Bureaucracy. Issues that involve the Soviet Union as a whole and its partners on the world stage are managed here by an unending stream of paperwork, phone calls, and diligent representatives.

Floors 80 - 85 - Top-Level Scientific Research & Development Facilities. Some of the greatest minds of the Soviet Union gather on these floors to discuss theories, present discoveries, and advance the cause of science for the good of all peoples.

Floors 85 - 89 - Top-Level Internal Affairs Management. While the Soviet Union has freedom and equality as its priority, there are those who cannot be allowed to roam without issue. Internal Affairs keep an eye out for dangerous extremist factions and eliminate them wherever possible.

Floors 90 - 99 - Top-Level Intelligence & Military Operations Headquarters. This series of floors gather intelligence from around the world and dispense it to the government and the military, allowing them to utilise it in whatever fashion they require. With multiple floors dedicated, these facilities can target separate areas of the world at each time, as opposed to trying global sweeps.

Floors 100 - 101 - X-Level Government Operations. Black ops, secret intel, and quiet communications. Information that leaves these floors is very scarce, and those who claim to be ready to leak anything from them usually vanish without a trace. Every government has a dark side - and the Soviet Union's may well be located here.

Roof - Equipped with a helipad and SAM Sites, the Roof of the Tower is just as important as the rest. This allows direct access to the top part of the tower by helicopter, and provides protection for the tower and the surrounding city of Moscow from air attacks.
